Mr. Manohar Maski is one of the chief promoters of the Bank. He is the Chairman of the Bank since its inception. Born in Maski, he did his Bachelor of Arts in Raichur and became a social worker of Akhil Baharatiya Vidyarthi Parishad (ABVP), the leading student organisation. He worked in Shimoga and Chickmagalur Districts. He started the first Kannada Daily in Sindhanur. Soon, he developed a team of young activists who were keen to do something big and constructive. Their concerted effort resulted in establishing Janatha Bazar, a cooperative body, in 1989. The Janatha Bazar is the only profit-making organization of its kind in Karnataka State. The success of Janatha Bazar made the team to dream still big.
